Weather
The weather in Brunei is very hot (average temperature is 28°C), with a humid, tropical climate most of the year. There is a monsoon season from November to December.
Visitors are advised to bring linen and lightweight cotton clothing, along with waterporoofs.

Festivals
Most festivals are religious celebrations or mark the anniversaries of important events in the sultanate's history. Ramadan, the Islamic month of fasting, is one of the most important events on Brunei's calendar. Chinese New Year takes place in January/February, and Brunei's National Day is 23 February.
